Moogsoft: Embedded Analytics with Looker and Snowflake

Overview: Provided customers with a reporting and dashboard interface.
Situation: Customers required sophisticated reporting and analytics capabilities within the Moogsoft platform to gain deeper insights from their AIOps data. A dedicated, embedded solution was needed to meet these demands and provide an alternative to a legacy platform.
Task: To design and implement an embedded analytics solution that would provide customers with a rich reporting and dashboarding interface directly within the Moogsoft product.
Action:
- Integrated Looker as the business intelligence and data visualization layer.
- Utilized Snowflake as the backend data warehouse to support the analytics capabilities.
- Ensured seamless embedding of Looker dashboards and reports within the Moogsoft user interface.
- Managed data pipelines from Kafka Streams into Snowflake using dbt for transformations.
Tech Stack Used: Looker, Snowflake, EKS, Kafka Streams, DBT.
Result: Landed several pending deals and provided an alternative for existing customers on a legacy platform to migrate.
